Le Challenge: my premiere

This will be my very first time in taking part in Le Challenge which started in March 2013. That long ago! So better a late start than never to start at all. The theme this month was round. An easy one to get me going.
I made 2 large 9″ hotpads for a friend who doesn’t like cooking and loves horse riding. The fabric is from an old line called West Hill by Heater Ross for Free Spirit, for those who want to know these details.

I’ll be linking up at LeChallenge today and will keep my fingers crossed; join in and have a chance to win too!
Or at least have a look at the link up to see what the others have made here.
Now you can cuddle up with your loved one, even if it’s your cat, and have a happy Valentine’s Day …

2016: my year of finishes

It’s probably way to late to wish you all the best for the new year because January’s nearly halfway through. Nevertheless … I’m so glad you’re here and I hope you’re feeling good.

Now hold that thought!!

Ha, I hope 2016 will be much better for me (2014 had 21 migraine days; 2015 had 90= 1 in 4; end of rant) in so many ways starting with all the projects I want to finish. I don’t even know where to start. So I was so glad I could enroll at so many blogs this year: Finish along has gone really global. Yes, so many quilters want to recognize this eh… feature.

Brace yourself, there’s no respite:

1, 2 & 3 all charity quilts for Siblings Together: blocks made by the Euro ST Bee

4 & 5 are Christmas quilts nearly done,
6 is a St Louis 16-patch: big & colourful

7 will be a Bow Tie quilt from Bonnie & Camille fabrics
8 & 9 are Charity quilts from boat blocks

10 Venice Star a pattern from  will be a cushion cover for my mom
11 are beginnings/remnants of a diamond quilt of a Kaffe Fasset’s workshop (which all in all cost a fortune …)
12 everything is cut, ready and halfway sew for the Christmas Spools from Moda Bakeshop

13 a wedding quilt for cat lovers; hope to make more cats otherwise might link the bow ties to the cats
14 Rainbow & ladybugs quilt
15 Botanics mini tumbler quilt

That’s enough for now, for this year …
I really hope to finish all of these this year.
I hope to blog more too, well that goal’s already met! The new blog may change it’s appearance, because I need to learn a lot about WordPress. Thanks for sticking with me.

Thanks for visiting
Happy whatever you’ll be doing
